Tuesday will be Delaney's first day of pre-school. She has been going back and forth between: "I love my school, and my teacher!" to "I am not going on the first day, I'll just stay with you Mommy." So hey, who knows what will happen Tuesday morning! But I am staying in the positive, she went to a summer camp at this school and loved it, did very well. She will have the same teacher this fall as she did this summer. I know she will absolutely love school if she will let herself!
I found an idea for a little back to school treat: this idea comes from Elizabeth Dillow via the Big Idea Festival at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
So here's my attempt at a German schultüte, which in my craft room is being referred to as "back to school cone." Clever, yes? Hee!
Don't look too closely! You may notice construction issues! As usual with projects, I whipped this together in 5 minutes.
So far, here's what I've got to put inside...this tee is SO darling with it's stripey long sleeves. (and by the way, scored at Kohl's for about $4 on sale.) And a cute little apple notepad from Staples. I think a Berenstain Bears back to school book is also in order. A Kooky pen, and maybe some gum. (she LOVES gum, I'm not so much a fan - but this is for her after all!!)
So, happy Labor Day weekend! We will be celebrating Daddy's birthday this weekend!! I will be back with and update and hopefully some back to school pictures on Tuesday.
*Edited to add: my links aren't working! (Elizabeth, Big Ideal Festival and Big Picture Scrapbooking! I will try to fix asap!)*
