And I don't know where to start, so Ireland it is...just a few pics...
There are so many words...so many stories from all three cities...Iike when I set foot on Aer Lingus again and heard the Irish accent, I just melted a little inside. Ireland just makes me ache for it. Probably because both sets of my mom's grandparents are from Ireland and it's just IN me. I am so happy I could share it with my family and I was also really wishing my mom was there to see it all. I have been twice, thanks to her and she has never. Next time. Next time I am not going back without her. Everyone loved Ireland the most out of all the places we went. I love all three places all for different reasons, but being Irish is so much a part of me that Ireland is a definite favorite. The Irish people incomparable. They have a spirit like none other, so lighthearted. We stayed at Bono's hotel and missed the entire band by about 12 hours. Ahhhh. The Band Perry was playing next door and were staying at our hotel, so that was great for the teenagers but I could not believe I missed Bono by such a short amount of time. U2 is so much the soundtrack of my youth. We hung out around our hotel in Temple Bar and Grafton Street, went to the Wicklow Mountains and Trim Castle, and of course spent the better part of one day at Guinness. What makes me crazy every time I have been to Europe is the amount of history.
I feel like I can never soak it all in. There is so much to learn. There is no place like Ireland. I really look forward to returning someday.
